Thiru Arimeya Vinnagaram - The Legend for the Name.
Utsavar is blessing as Chathurbuja Gopalan. Thayar is Amrudhakadavalli Thayar. Vimanam is Uchasrunga Vimanam where as Pushkarini is worshipped as Amrudha Theertham. When Lord Krishna returned after the Mahabharadha War, he met the sage named Utthanga Mahirishi in the forest. Sage was asking about the Gowravas and Pandavas without knowing what happened. Lord Krishna explained sage about what happened in the battle. Utthangar got furious and told Krishna that what he had done was not fair. Even though Lord Krishna explained him that all were happened only according to the Fate which can be the only winner ever. Utthangar was not satisfied. Lord Krishna gave the sage His Viswaroopa Darshan and the sage became calm and asked for a boon that whenever he needs water he should get it as getting water is very hectic there.
Lord Krishna gave him the boon. Few days later, sage felt very thirsty and thought of the Almighty. Suddenly he saw a person with few dogs and a a pot said he has water and whether he needs it. The Sage by judging him with the appearance rejected his offer. Immediately the man vanished. Lord Krishna gave prathyaksham to Uthangar and said that the person came was Indhiran and he was having nectar in his pot. The fate is that no human beings are eligible to have nectar. That’s why even though sage got a chance he was not able to drink. Thus Fate is the winner always. Lord Krishnan told him the sage that nothing was done by him on the battele and The Fate only led the war. It was only made Dhuriyodhanan more arrogant and mercyless and nothing was done by Him. Sage accepted and apologized Paranthaman. Since when Indran came here with the Nectar, few drops fell down here in Arimeya Vinnagaram. |
